Many visitors try to capture Madagascar with words: A world apart; the eight continent; A fragile island of wonder and mystery; the 10th poorest country in the world; an environment teetering between paradise and catastrophe.

We see a Madagascar of preservation and restoration. Farmers grow cocoa, adding precious trees to a fragile forest ecosystem. The cocoa offers the farmer a sustainable income and the farmer offers the forest protection. |

It all starts with the farmer, and the natural ingredient, but it shouldn’t end here. By focusing equally on sustainable agriculture and creating finished products in Madagascar, we believe the local economy can be impacted in a more meaningful way. |
